Brereton Inn, a former coaching inn and later known as the Bear's Head Hotel, was built in 1615 and later extended. It is timber-framed with a slate roof and has a brick wing to the left. On the front are two jettied gables. It is a Grade II listed building. As of 2020, it is still in operation as The Bear's Head public house. George Davies lived in Alderley and took numerous photographs of the surrounding area.
